HWW tyre warmer FAQ

1. Can you use any other material to cover HWW tyre warmers?

No, we do not recommend you do this, as it may damage the tyre warmer, by all means shelter the tyre warmer from wind etc but DO NOT cover.

 2. Do HWW tyre warmers have a thermostat in them?

Yes, but this does not control the temperature of the HWW tyre warmers, it is purely and simply in there to act as a safety device if the tyre warmer reaches an alarming temperature by being wrapped up & still left switch on when removed from the wheel.

 3. What happens if my tyre warmer gets damaged, can it be repaired?

If your tyre warmer has been damaged in any way then we do offer a repair service, Yes (unlike our competitors). See ‘HWW tyre warmer repair service’ page.

 4. Do HWW tyre warmers have a light to indicate they are being powered?

No, HWW tyre warmers are designed with a heat indication window which shows up RED when there is heat on the tyre, this is a visual reference only.

As with a light it only tells you there is power to the tyre warmer, it does not tell you whether the tyre is seeing heat & therefore working correctly.

 5. Can 2 HWW tyre warmers be powered from 1 plug?

No, they are supplied with 1 separate power lead to cover 1 tyre warmer and this is how we recommend they should stay for safety reasons.  Any modification other than as supplied by HWW, will result in any warranties being void.

6. Can I have my tyre warmers personalised / different colour etc?

Yes, you can but there maybe an extra cost, depending on the specification you desire.

7. Is my power source able to run a set of HWW Tyrewarmers?

You need a mininum of approx 1KW to run a set of HWW Tyrewarmers. Please bear in mind that a generator may show, it’s giving out a specific power output but this may not necessarily be a constant output which HWW Tyrewarmers require.
